Homeless man charged with making threats
After an employee ordered Stanley Corneille to leave the Squeaky Kleen Laundrot at 342 Allegheny St. in Jersey Shore about 6 a.m. on Sept. 15, the 31-year-old homeless man made several remarks threatening to kill the employee, it was alleged in a Lycoming Regional police affidavit. At one point, Corneille told the person he “wasn’t joking and that he would be back to get them,” the court document stated. Following his arraignment hours later before District Judge Aaron Biichle on charges of terroristic threats, criminal trespassing and harassment, Corneille was committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail. He had previously trespassed at the business on May 25 and Sept. 5, police said.
Failure to notify law enforcement leads to charges
Convicted sex offender Ethan James Kilburn, 29, of Cogan Station, is once again behind bars after city police charged him with two felony counts of failure to register a new address with the state police within the required three business-day time limit, according to court records filed at Biichle’s office. In late July, Kilburn notified state police that he was moving on Aug. 1 from the 700 block of Glenwood Ave. in the city to 19 Factory Road, it was stated in an affidavit. Through their investigation, police learned that Kilburn had actually been living at the Hepburn Township address since mid-May. Following his arraignment last week before Biichle, Kilburn has been locked up in lieu of $$75,000 bail.
Police charge city man with assaulting teenage son
Danny Kye Joyner, 51, of 675 Sixth Ave., has been arrested on charges of endangering the welfare of a minor, simple assault and disorderly conduct after punching his teenage son multiple times in the face in a parking lot outside a business in the 1800 block of Lycoming Creek Road about 1 p.m. on Sept. 6, Lycoming Regional police alleged in an affidavit. Arraigned days later before District Judge William Solomon, Joyner was released on $25,000 bail.
City teen arrested yet again in a vehicle-theft case
Already implicated in two vehicle thefts, Khanif Carter, has been arrested yet again after a witness and surveillance video recorded him allegedly getting out of the driver’s seat of a stolen 2019 Mazda CX 5 in the first block of Maple Avenue on Sept. 4, according to city police. The car had been stolen on Sept. 3 at an undisclosed location, it was stated in an affidavit. Arraigned days later before Solomon on a felony charge of receiving stolen property and one misdemeanor charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, Carter, 19, of 1002 Baldwin St., was jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail. He was charged last year by state police with allegedly stealing a 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander from the 400 block of Market Street in Muncy on Sept. 26, Montoursville police charged him with stealing a Honda CRV from the 400 block of Chestnut Street on July 21, 2024.
City woman accused of stealing from her employer
While employed by Bart’s Pizza at 536 W, Third St., Riley Morgan Fox, 24, of 534 W. Third St., stole $20 from a cash register on May 23, city police alleged in an affidavit. When confronted, Fox admitted to taking the money, saying she needed it to go toward her rent, police said, adding the woman was terminated. Charged with theft, Fox has since waived her preliminary hearing before District Judge Christian Frey and is free on $2,500 bail.
