It’s My Party Store.

The very name of this new business at 1231 Sheridan St., Williamsport brings to mind perhaps the famous lyrics sung by the late Lesley Gore.

It also very likely leaves little doubt what the business is all about.

“It’s all your party needs,” said owner Josie Latini. “I sell below suggested retail.”

Planning a party? A wedding? Another event that’s cause for celebration? Latini said it’s likely she has the supplies and items for that special day. Inside the store can be found party hats, napkins, table cloths and assorted items to help dress up any fun day or evening.

“I will do custom ordering for events,” she said.

She also has a special area set aside to consult customers about their party needs.

Latini knows something about the business, having served for a number of years as manager of the C.A. Reed party store in Williamsport. She opened her own shop in February. An official ribbon cutting was held Feb. 20.

As sole proprietor of the business, she said she’s excited about her start-up venture and serving the community.

She expects business to be busiest in the summer when many people are holding parties and events. She said she likes the location in the city’s east end just one block north of busy Washington Boulevard near the Little River Plaza shopping center.

Williamsport Barber Supply was formerly located at the site.

Loyalsock Township Supervisor Paul Nyman said it’s always nice to see local business start-ups.

“It’s a good location,” he said. “Once people see it’s here they’ll come.”

Latini said she is working to get Facebook and website presences to advertise her business.
