After picking up four teenagers in the early hours of May 21, 19-year-old Austin Tyler McKeon, of 262 S. Main St., Hughesville, drove to the Lime Bluff Quarry, where he furnished them with alcohol before playing a game of spin the bottle with the teens, court documents allege.
According to an alleged victim who reported the conduct to state police, McKeon was unfazed by reminders that the youths were only 14, and proceeded to kiss two of them on the mouth multiple times during the game.
The next day, McKeon allegedly met up with the alleged victim and two other juveniles, driving them to a convenience store on Maynard Street, where he again kissed her on the mouth, an affidavit said. After returning from the store, McKeon got in the passenger seat and instructed the alleged victim to sit on his lap as the four watched a movie on the video screen in his vehicle.
As the movie progressed, McKeon allegedly pushed his hands into her pants, police allege.
A second juvenile in the vehicle later told police she had seen McKeon touching the backside of the alleged victim.
Surveillance video from the convenience store viewed by state police confirmed that a vehicle driven by McKeon was present at an electric charging station from just after midnight to just before 1:15 a.m. on May 22.
The video also shows McKeon exiting the front driver’s side of the vehicle and walking to the front passenger side, where the alleged victim exits, with McKeon taking the seat and the alleged victim then sitting in the same seat, police said.
On May 24, the alleged victim and a couple friends accompanied McKeon to a local movie theater, where he dropped her friends off at the front door, stating that he wanted to talk to her alone.
Once parked, McKeon allegedly turned to the alleged victim, seated in the back seat, grabbed her by the throat and pulled her towards him, once again kissing her on the mouth, according to court documents.
McKeon initially rejected the alleged victim’s pleas to be taken home, telling her that he had already paid for her ticket, she told police. After she persisted for some time, McKeon relented, but would not allow anyone else to accompany them. However, the alleged victim saw a friend in the lobby of the theater and convinced him to accompany them.
Arraigned on four counts each of unlawful contact with a minor and indecent assault of a person less than 16, and one count each of aggravated indecent assault of a person under 16, strangulation, furnishing liquor to a minor and corruption of minors, before District Judge Kirsten Gardner, McKeon was remanded to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
