Head-on collision sends drivers to area hospitals

MUNCY — A head-on collision involving a Chevrolet Suburban and a pickup truck on Route 405, near Vandine Loop, in Muncy Creek Township about 8 a.m. Wednesday sent both drivers to area hospitals, according to fire officials. The driver of the Suburban was pinned in the wreckage for a brief period of time. Ambulances from Muncy Area, Hughesville, Picture Rocks and Clinton Township responded. State police were investigating the accident, which tied up traffic on the two-lane road for at least an hour.
