HERSHEY — The area saw plenty of wrestlers reach the podium in Hershey at the PIAA wrestling championships in both Class AA and Class AAA on Saturday.
Montgomery’s Conner Harer (152 pounds) and Muncy’s Austin Johnson (215) both won gold medals in Class AA competition, while Williamsport’s Cael Nasdeo (121) and Central Mountain’s Luke Simcox (133) left Hershey with gold medals in Class AAA.
Four received silver medals, including Montgomery freshman Brandt Harer at 121. Warrior Run’s Reagan and Cameron Milheim earned silver at 139 and 152 pounds, respectively, and Meadowbrook Christian’s Cade Wirnsberger finished second at 145.
Montoursville’s Branden Wentzel (121), Muncy’s Scott Johnson (133) and Warrior Run’s Kaden Milheim (145) were third-place finishers in Class AA. Central Mountain’s Dalton Perry took third at 139 in Class AAA.
Montoursville’s Gage Wentzel (152) and Montgomery’s Caden Finck (172) were fifth in Class AA and Central Mountain’s Griffin Walizer was fifth at 145.
