BETHLEHEM — The Lycoming College baseball team used one of two home runs on the afternoon by senior Sean Perkins and a four-hit game from junior Eric MacCluen in a 14-0 rout, which was followed up with a 5-4 setback against Moravian University on Saturday.

Lycoming (16-19, 9-13 Landmark) swatted 16 hits in the opener and 26 in total on the afternoon, but up by four runs in the second game, Moravian (12-17, 6-12 Landmark) salvaged a split of the twinbill.

The Warriors broke the seal in the second inning of game one as senior Nick Hoheb stroked an RBI single to bring home MacCluen. An inning later, Perkins swatted a 1-1 offering the other way for a solo home run to give Lycoming a 2-0 lead.

Sophomore Tyler Iams then laid down a squeeze bunt to bring Llorente home to even the game at four apiece.

The Greyhounds, though, came through with the final blow, as John Phillips doubled to right in the eighth to bring home Owen Ness, giving Moravian a 5-4 lead. Lycoming put two on in the ninth, but were unable to tie the score.

Reeder finished 3 for 4 with the home run, while Perkins added a solo homer, and Llorente and Lindsey were each 2 for 4 with a run scored.

All nine Moravian hitters had a hit in game two, with Phillips and Keitsock each driving in a pair. Andrew Sagrestano threw the final three innings scoreless in relief, allowing just one hit, to earn the win.
