JERSEY SHORE — Jersey Shore hosted a dual meet with Shikellamy on Tuesday afternoon, the final meet before Saturday’s PHAC Championships get underway at Bloomsburg. Shikellamy’s girls team beat Jersey Shore, 83-66, and and the Braves’ boys team beat the Bulldogs, 120-30. Jersey Shore’s Khani McCray picked up two individual wins in boys competition and was Jersey Shore’s only athlete in boys competition to win two events. Top male bowler of the week was Rod Furman who propelled his team to the championship in the playoff of the Brenda Welshans Memorial League with an 815 series. Haley Litzelman of North Penn-Liberty and Tyler Ulrich of Warrior Run were named to the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Association/Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency All-Academic athletic team, which was announced on Monday. Landen Puderbach roped a walk-off single and Hughesville stormed back from a five-run fifth-inning deficit, winning an 8-7, eight-inning thriller against Bloomsburg.
