County board accepting preservation applications

The Lycoming County Agricultural Land Preservation Board is now accepting applications. The deadline for submitting applications is the close of business on Oct. 30, 2026. According to a news release, participants in the Agricultural Land Preservation Program sell the development rights for their farm through a combination State and County purchase. Farms are required to be enrolled in an agricultural security to be eligible.
