I got it wrong
It took me 52 years to write a letter to the editor, and unfortunately I got it wrong.
My frustration with the Lycoming Patriots’ webpage is very real. I have written to that organization on multiple occasions, asking them to reconsider their harsh, divise rhetoric, some of which I find to be un-Christian, un-patriotic, and downright mean-spirited. They still have not responded to my concerns or even acknowledged that they received them.
Since last writing to you, I have learned a few important things — namely, that Jeff Stroehmann left the Lycoming Patriots 6 months ago, and that none of my concerns were ever shared with him. I apologize to Jeff for transferring my legitimate frustrations with the Lycoming Patriots to him, and for doing it in such a public way.
I have also learned of the meaningful work being done by Jeff Stroehmann and Karen DiSalvo regarding the integrity of our elections. As a country and as a local community, we’ve got to get this right.
