Lock Haven women compete in Day One of PSAC Swim Championships
YORK – The Lock Haven Women’s Swimming team kicked off the 2025-26 PSAC Swimming & Diving Championships on Wednesday morning at the Graham Aquatic Center in York by competing in day one of four.
Freshman Jadyn Oswalt timed in at 11:13.14 in the 1000-yard freestyle in her postseason debut. Oswalt’s time earned her 32nd as she beat out eight competitors.
The team of Oswalt, Kate MacAlister, Veronica Karboski and Madison Bortner finished the 800-yard freestyle relay in 8:24.25.
Fellow freshman Vernonica Karboski also competed in the 50-yard freestyle prelims. Karboski finished in 25.24.
Gianna Gruska made her postseason debut by competing alongside Karboski in 50-yard freestyle prelims. Gruska finished the race in 25.73.
Madison Bortner swam in the 200-yard freestyle time trials. Bortner finished in 2:08.41.
Also competing in time trials were Hannah Howell in the 100-yard backstroke and Nora Craig in the 200-yard backstroke. Howell finished in 1:10.75 and Craig finished her event in 2:21.92.
The Bald Eagles will return for day two of the 2025-26 PSAC Swimming & Diving Championships on Thursday morning.
