Gunnip named PSAC West Athlete of the Week in lacrosse

LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven lacrosse standout Gabby Gunnip was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West Division Athlete of the Week for the second straight week.

Leading Lock Haven to wins over Gannon and No. 22 Seton Hill, Gunnip led the Bald Eagles with 12 points (eight goals, four assists), while adding four ground balls on the week.

Gunnip scored three goals, dished out an assist and picked up three ground balls in Lock Haven’s 13-6 win over No. 22 Seton Hill. Gunnip followed that performance with five goals, three assists and a ground ball in a dominant 19-6 win over Gannon. 

The Bald Eagles have won four straight games and enter the week at 9-5 overall and 5-3 in the PSAC West. The Haven has officially clinched its third straight trip to the PSAC Championship Tournament and is currently in third place, sitting one game behind second-place Seton Hill.

The Bald Eagles hit the road for the final time in the regular season and will travel to Indiana (Pa.) on Wednesday, April 22 at 3 p.m.
