Shore's Fink, Loyalsock's Lin reach District 4 singles tournament semifinals

Jersey Shore’s Ryder Fink is one step closer to earning a repeat District 4 singles title. On Monday, Fink went 2-0 in his matches competed in to advance to the District 4 singles semifinals, which will be played on Wednesday afternoon. Fink will face Bayley Poll of Towanda, the fourth-seed in the tournament while Danville’s David Sommer, the third seed, faces second-seeded Elijah Lin of Loyalsock in the other semifinal. Shore boys tennis earn top seed for D4 team tourney

The District 4 team tennis tournament will get underway on Tuesday with a handful of preliminary matches. That includes South Williamsport, who will host Selinsgrove at 4 p.m. in a play-in match. Jersey Shore has the top seed in the tournament and the Bulldogs will host the winner of the Selinsgrove/South Williamsport match. That match is scheduled for Thursday, at 4 p.m.. The Lock Haven lacrosse team (9-7, 5-5 PSAC) hosted No. 7 Slippery Rock (17-0, 10-0 PSAC) on senior day in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West game on Saturday to wrap up the 2026 regular season. The top team in the West Slippery Rock won the contest 19-3.
