5 charged with drug offenses in separate cases

Megan Borgess, 40, of 45 Back St., Montoursville, has been charged with four felony counts of delivery of a controlled substance for allegedly selling methamphetamines to an informant or undercover officers on four occasions between mid-February and mid-March, according to court records filed by the county’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit. The alleged sales occurred in the city and Muncy Township, investigators said. She was jailed in lieu of $15,000 bail that was set by District Judge Christian Frey.

In another case brought before the judge, Jeffery Morgret, 50, of 1202 W. Southern Ave., South Williamsport, waived his preliminary hearing on state police charges of possession of crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia at West Fourth and Berger streets in the city on June 22. He is free on bail.

In another state police case Frey is handling, Christopher Mills, 39, of Baltimore, Maryland, has been charged with possession of cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and sent a summons to appear for a hearing before the judge.

Jowon Keyes, 28, of 685 Second Ave., has been charged by state police with possession of a controlled substance for having a bag of cocaine on West Third Street in the city on June 22, it was alleged in court records. He has been sent a summons to see Frey.

Shalamar Brown, 52, of 565 Memorial Ave., apartment 403, has been charged by the county’s NEU with delivery of a controlled substance and illegal use of a cellphone for allegedly selling .28 grams of crack cocaine to an undercover officer on Washington Boulevard in the city on June 15. Following his arraignment before District Judge Aaron Biichle, Brown was jailed in lieu of $75,000 bail.
