The draw for the District 4 doubles tournament in girls tennis was released. The first three rounds will be played on Saturday at Williamsport beginning at 9 a.m. The semifinals and finals will held at the Central PA Tennis Center on Monday at 1 p.m.
There are four preliminary matchups this year.
In the first preliminary, Muncy's Alyssa Krepinevich and Savannah Thompson will face Towanda's Emma Ackley and Jaden Conklin. Mifflinburg's Holly Swartz and Rhyann Kurtz will play against Bucktail's Lola English and Matti Mason.
Wellsboro's Evelyn Wetherbee and Kyleigh Lynn play against North Penn-Liberty's Elyna Booth and Elena Hazleton. In the final preliminary match, Mifflinburg's Kaelynn Wagner and Addison Day will face against Selinsgrove's Miah Bassler and Talia Mowery.
Danville's Josie Bendle and Gyovanna Sundaresan are seeded No. 1 in the field and receive the winner of Ackley/Conklin vs. Krepinevich/Thompson. In the top portion of the bracket, Hughesville's Rebecca Roberts and Maya Snyder compete against North Penn-Liberty's Ellie Brion and Ciara Keiser. Montoursville's Lily Fortin and Kendall Simms will face Jersey Shore's Jaymison Stellfox and Julia Herman.
Milton's Kyleigh Snyder and Emily Waltman will face against Loyalsock's Caroline Crawford and Gia Biacchi. South Williamsport's team of Livy Harvey and Emily Holtzapple will play against Montgomery's Cali Barnes and Madisyn Miller.
Bucktail's Eva Sockman and McKenna Bissman will play against Lewisburg's Ella Markunas and Morgan Strieby. Central Columbia's team of Natalia Taylor and Cassandra Marte will play against Wellsboro's Olivia Gage and Carys Barlett.
Bloomsburg's Mya Coyne and Siena Fritsky are seeded fourth and face the winner of the Basssler/Mowery vs. Wagner/Day matchup.
In the bottom half of the bracket, Hughesville's Annaka Bruder and Georgia Randall earned the third seed and will face the winner of the English/Mason vs. Swartz/Kurtz match. Jersey Shore's team of Josie Gerst and Addison Koch, seeded second in the field, will compete against the winner of the Wetherbee/Lynn and Booth/Hazleton matchup.
Cowanesque Valley's Chelsea Wattles and Danica Gardner will face Loyalsock's Vivian Reem and Kaylene Kriner. Bloomsburg's Erika Traupman and Ella Derr will compete against Montgomery's Carly Hall and Madison Budman.
Muncy's Leah Vest and Taylor Shannon will play Central Columbia's Rihanna Baker and Macy Gearhart. Lewisburg's Dayssi Weis and Christina Zheng will face South Williamsport's Emma McLaughlin and Mylee Morrison.
Towanda's Lainey Alderfer and Nadia Alderfer earned a first-round matchup with Danville's Cassie Shellenberger and Hazel Gatski. Selinsgrove's Khylee Haines and Alexis Hoot will face Montoursville's Jill Stone and Ally Witter.
