Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd E. Furman, 2197 Mahaffey Lane, will be observing their 72nd wedding anniversary on Sunday, April 25.
They became acquainted after Mr. Furman came to work on the Koch family farm. They were married by the Rev. Charles M. LeFew at Washington Square Methodist Church, Hagerstown, Maryland. They were members of Trinity United Methodist Church on Lycoming Creek Road until its recent closure.
Mrs. Furman, the former Norma J. Koch, a native of Cogan Station, graduated from high school at the Hepburnville School.
Mr. Furman is a native of Williamsport. An Army veteran of World War II, he retired from Textron Lycoming.
They are the parents of two sons, Lloyd E., II (Susan) of Cogan Station, and Max W. (Kathy) of Elimsport, and two daughters, Pauline F. Schreck (Carl) of Mifflinburg, and Janice L. Graybill (Chuck) of South Williamsport. There are eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
