Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Doan celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, April 10. They were married at Faxon Kenmar United Methodist Church in Loyalsock Township.
Ronald was born in Osceola. He graduated from the former Elkland High School and received degrees from Mansfield University, Syracuse University, and Lancaster Seminary. Ronald served as librarian at Warrior Run High School, pastor in the Susquehanna Conference of the UMC, retail supervisor at J C. Penney's and recently retired from Kohl's.
Barbara was born in Williamsport. She graduated from Loyalsock Township High School and the former Williamsport School of Commerce. Barbara served in several secretarial and clerical positions and retired from Sears.
They are the parents of two daughters. Heather (Steve) Miller and Heidi (Joe) Luxenberger of Loyalsock Township. They have four granddaughters, Olivia and Sophia Miller and Anna and Maddie Luxenberger.
They will celebrate with family and friends at a later date.
