Williamsport grad Rachel Fatherly to compete at Olympic Trials

Williamsport grad Rachel Fatherly will compete today in Eugene, Oregon, for a spot in the Olympics. Day 7 of the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials for the Tokyo games is scheduled for this afternoon.

She qualified for the US Olympic Trials by finishing 22nd with a throw of 50 feet, 8 inches and was a qualifier for the 2016 NCAA East Preliminaries with a throw of 52-0.

Her PR earlier this year entering spring was 60.62 feet (18.48 meters) in the outdoor.
